About Us
DGN EV is an independent website that helps drivers understand electric vehicles. We explain how electric cars work, how to charge them, how long their batteries last and what they really cost to own – in plain language, without hype.
What we do
Switching to an electric car raises a lot of practical questions. Where will I charge? How far can I really drive in winter? Is fast charging bad for the battery? Will I actually save money? Our guides answer these everyday questions clearly, so you can make your own informed decisions.
- EV guides – beginner-friendly explanations of how electric vehicles work and what to know before buying one.
- Batteries and charging – battery lifespan, degradation, home and public charging, charging speeds and costs.
- Range and maintenance – real-world range, winter driving, servicing, tyres and common problems.
- Costs – honest comparisons of electric and gasoline cars, and free calculators to estimate your own numbers.
Our editorial principles
- Accuracy first. We base our articles on manufacturer data, official sources, published studies and widely accepted industry figures, and we update articles when important facts change.
- Independence. We are not owned by a car maker, a charging company or a dealer. No brand pays us to write about it, and advertising never influences what we publish.
- Clarity. We avoid jargon, explain the trade-offs and make clear when something depends on the model, the country or your driving habits.
- Corrections. If you spot an error, tell us and we will review it promptly.
Read our editorial policy to learn how we choose topics, research and fact-check our guides, use technology and keep articles up to date.
How we are funded
DGN EV is free to read. We cover our running costs by showing advertisements, served by Google AdSense. Advertisers have no say in our content.
