This Privacy Policy explains what information DGN EV ("we", "us", "our") collects when you visit dgnev.com (the "Site"), how we use it and the choices you have. By using the Site, you agree to the practices described here.

Information we collect

Information you send us

If you contact us through the form on our contact page or by email, we receive your name, email address and whatever you include in your message. We use this only to reply to you and delete it when it is no longer needed. To help prevent spam, form messages are stored together with your approximate country and a one-way code derived from your IP address (not the IP address itself).

Comments

If you leave a comment on an article, we store the name and comment you enter and, if you provide it, your email address. Your name and comment are shown publicly once a moderator approves the comment; your email address is never published and is used only if we need to contact you about your comment. As with the contact form, we store your approximate country and a one-way code derived from your IP address to fight spam. You can ask us to remove your comment at any time.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our server and analytics tools automatically process some technical information when you visit, such as:

• the pages you view and the date and time of your visit;
• the website that referred you to us (for example, a search engine);
• your browser type and whether you use a phone, tablet or computer;
• your approximate country, derived from your IP address.

Our own visitor statistics are privacy-friendly: we do not store IP addresses. Your IP address is used for a moment to look up your country and to create an anonymous visitor code that changes every day, so you cannot be followed from one day to the next. Country lookups use the free IP to Country Lite database by DB-IP, which runs on our own server; your IP address is not sent to DB-IP. These statistics are kept for up to about 13 months.

Cookies

Cookies are small text files stored on your device. The Site itself does not use cookies for ordinary visitors. However, the third-party services described below may set cookies or use similar technologies (such as local storage or device identifiers).

You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. If you block cookies, the Site will still work, but advertisements may be less relevant to you.

Advertising – Google AdSense

We use Google AdSense to show advertisements. Google and its partners act as third-party vendors and use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this Site and other websites.

We use this information only in aggregated form to improve our content. You can prevent Google Analytics from collecting your data by installing the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.

How we use information

Data security and retention

The Site is served over an encrypted (HTTPS) connection and we take reasonable measures to protect information. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, however. We keep information only as long as necessary for the purposes described in this policy.

Children's privacy

The Site is intended for a general adult audience and is not directed at children under 13 (or under 16 in the EEA). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Our articles may link to other websites. We are not responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please review their policies.
